Young trio from Littlestone Golf Club set for national competitions

Three youngsters from Littlestone Golf Club have qualified to play for national titles at English Golf Union Championships over the next month.

Jake Spearpoint, 15, who plays off scratch, qualified to play in both the MacGregor Trophy for under-16 golfers at Princes GC, Sandwich, this week, and the Carris Trophy for under-18s at Woodhall Spa GC in Lincolnshire from July 20-23.

David Arnold, 14, who plays off five, has qualified to play in the Reid Trophy for under-14s at Hesketh GC, Southport, next month and also the National under-16 Schools championship at Delamere Forest GC, Chester, on July 19 and 20.

Three-handicapper Ollie Daws, 13, has qualified to play in the Reid Trophy, the National Schools under-16 championship and MacGregor Trophy.
