Youth arrested over hunt attack

A TEENAGER has been questioned by police in connection with an alleged attack on an anti-hunt protestor at Crundale, near Ashford .

The 16-year-old youth, who has not been named for legal reasons, was arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm and released on police bail.

The protestor was injured on February 19 at the first East Kent hunt meet after the hunting with dogs ban was introduced.

The campaigner was treated at Ashford's William Harvey hospital for multiple bruising and a suspected broken rib.

If the youth is eventually charged he will appear before a court at Ashford.
