Motorcyclist taken to hospital after crash following police chase in Little Heath Road, Bexleyheath

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after crashing into a car near a primary school while evading police.

The chase began after the driver failed to stop for officers in Belmont Hill, Erith yesterday afternoon.

The motorcyclist later crashed into a car near the roundabout between Belmont Road and Little Heath Road, Bexleyheath.

It happened at the junction near Belmont Primary School at around 5.54pm.

A Met Police spokesman confirmed the driver was taken to hospital with a leg injury after the incident.

His condition was not considered life-threatening and inquiries are ongoing.
