A2 coastbound near Canterbury shut for emergency repairs to bridge joints at junction

A junction on the A2 has been shut for emergency repairs to a bridge.

The road is closed coastbound between the A2050 and the A260 just outside Canterbury, while repairs are carried out to bridge joints at the Coldharbour Lane junction.

Traffic is being diverted via the exit and entry slip roads around the junction.

Highways England says the diversion is likely to remain in place for the rest of the day, while the bridge joints are being repaired.

Traffic is said to be coping well, although some minor congestion has been reported.
