County's hockey boys march on

KENT Under-15 Boys have clinched the South of England Hockey Championship and now qualify for the national county finals to be held in March at Cannock.

With six out of 16 boys from Canterbury Hockey Club in the Kent squad, the team have won six of their seven matches and drew against old rivals and contenders Hampshire for the title in their last match at Oxford, played in driving rain.

The equalising goal, which gave effectively gave them the championship, was slotted home one minute from the end.
