Garage fire in Hever Place, Canterbury

Fire crews were scrambled to a garage fire yesterday.

Two fire engines were sent to the blaze in Hever Place, Canterbury, at about 7.10pm.

Crews arrived to find smoke rising from the building.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and high pressure fan to extinguish the blaze and prevent it from spreading into a house attached to the garage.

No casualties were reported and the cause is not yet known.
