Knife threat in road rage incident

DETECTIVES are investigating after a woman was threatened with a knife in a road rage incident in Canterbury.

The 39-year-old woman was sitting in the back of a Ford Mondeo car in Zealand Road when a motorbike came into view.

Words were exchanged between her and the motorcyclist shortly after they passed each other at a traffic calming measure in the road.

The rider then got off his bike, walked up to the Mondeo and produced a knife before he got on his bike. He made off towards Heaton Road.

Police say the woman, another woman and a three-year-old boy in the Mondeo were unhurt.

The rider was on a black N-registration bike that had been seen driving at speed in the area.

He was wearing black leathers and is aged between 20 and 25.

The incident happened on Monday atabout 11.30am. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 01227 762055.
