A MURDER investigation is underway after a woman was stabbed early Saturday morning in the Northgate area of Canterbury.

Three men are also said to have been injured and taken to hospital where their condition was described as "stable".

Detectives say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with incident.

A wide area around Northgate was sealed off by police on Saturday morning, including some main roads which caused traffic to be diverted.

The inquiry focused on a parade of shops and flats at the bottom of Northgate.

Scenes of crime officers were also present at the property and in the street

carrying out a forensic investigation.
