Pensioner burnt after blaze

A pensioner suffering from serious burns to his upper body and face was taken to hospital on Thursday afternoon.
Canterbury fire crews were called to reports of a shed fire at a house in St Nicholas Road, Thanington at 2.45pm.
When the two engines arrived at the property, ambulance crews were already treating the 75 year-old man.
The blaze was put out by 3.10pm and police officers were also called to the scene to secure the house while the owner was taken to hospital.
