Police probe woman's sex assault claim

POLICE today sealed off a section of a play park in Canterbury after a 26-year-old woman claimed she had been sexually assaulted there.

Officers were searching for clues in the park, off the city's Military Road. A police spokesman said: "The female contacted police claiming to have been the victim of a sexual assault at the park close to the Leopard's Head on Sunday."

He added: "Police have taped off the area in an attempt to validate her allegation."
