House fire damages bedrooms in Shalmsford Street, Canterbury

Three bedrooms have been damaged following a house fire.

A blaze on the first floor of a home in Chartham, outside Canterbury , spread to furniture and caused smoke damage in a hallway.

Smoke also reached and damaged two other bedrooms in the Shalmsford Street property.

Fire crews were sent out to deal dampen the blaze at about 6.20pm yesterday (Friday).

Two fire engines were deployed and the clouds of smoke were fanned out of the home.

No one was reported as injured.
