Two deaths in Canterbury as police called to Abbots Barton Walk and area near Asda

Two people have died following tragic discoveries on opposite sides of Canterbury today.

Emergency crews were first called to Abbots Barton Walk at 7.05am following concern for the welfare of a man in his 20s.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Little more than three hours later, at 10.30am, police were called to a spot near the Asda supermarket in Sturry Road.

There, a woman was also pronounced dead by paramedics.

Police enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of both deaths.
