Whitstable Town have signed one forward and are in talks with another as boss Peter Nott looks to end his transfer business early.

Keelan Mooney has joined from Kent League Premier Division Tunbridge Wells where last season he netted 19 goals.

The 22-year-old arrives with Ryman League experience, having previously played under Nott at Maidstone and the Town boss is delighted to be working again with the frontman.

Nott (pictured) said: "He’s a good addition. He is quick and lively and comfortable playing with both feet.

"We certainly felt we needed a forward and we felt we needed pace and I was also conscious that we didn’t have many options on the left. Keelan fits the bill in those departments.

"He has had a cracking season and several clubs were interested. We are pleased he has chosen to come to us.

"We are still talking to another striker. My aim was to keep the side together but we lost a couple of players so I need to bring two or three in.

"I don’t think we are going to be too busy over the summer with players coming in but we can’t be complacent."
