Adam heaps on the misery

AFC Royals crashed out at the first hurdle after suffering a 6-3 defeat against New Inn in the Herne Bay & Whitstable Sunday League Challenge Cup.

Adam Heap (2), Dan Stretch (2), Chris Small and Stuart Munday were New Inn’s scorers. Tom Lilley (2) and Andrew Everett scored for Royals.

Lockley Bower showed their class against Mon United by beating them 3-0. Ben Smith, Rob Lawrence and Darren Abbott were all on target.

Woodman’s Hall also booked their place in the second round after beating Share and Coulter 3-0.

Meanwhile, in the second round, Dave Nugent hit a hat-trick as Cross Keys thrashed Swalecliffe 7-0.

Steven Croucher (2), Del Harris and Darren Little were also on target.

Waterfront booked their place in the third round after hitting 10 goals past Adisham. Matt Kelk (4), Anthony Leas (4), Joe Smith and Sam Rigden got the goals.
