CANTERBURY maintained their 100 per cent home record and moved into third place in the league with a hard fought win at Polo Farm on Saturday.

An early goal from Cath Gilliat-Smith set the city side on their way, although the visitors equalised just after half-time.

However, Canterbury regained control when Gilliat-Smith, who finished with a hat-trick, bagged her second and further strikes from Susannah Townsend and Natasha Brennan sealed the points.
