Drivers are experiencing delays at the Dartford Crossing this morning.

The delays have been caused by a combination of accidents at junction 30 of the M25 in Essex and a broken down vehicle in north Kent.

At times the tunnel has been used to try and relieve congestion in Essex towards Kent.

Traffic is stretching back to junction 3 of the M25, at Swanley, while the vehicles is being recovered.

The Highways Agency said motorists were facing 40 minute delays and predicted traffic would be flowing normally around 10.30am.
