Firefighters investigating after garage is completely destroyed in Temple Hill, Dartford

An investigation is underway after a garage was destroyed in a fire.

Firefighters were called to Spielman Road in Temple Hill. Dartford at around 7pm on Friday to battle the blaze, which is believed to have been started deliberately.

Two pumps attended the scene, with the burning garage thought to have been disused. It was full of rubbish and waste material.

Crews were there for around an hour and a half to ensure the flames did not spread and destroy neighbouring garages, which have now been boarded up.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue said that they would be in touch with Dartford council regarding the incident, as there was clear evidence of fly tipping in the area.

They said that the council had responsibility to remove the rubbish as it is a clear fire risk. An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause.
