Man escapes unhurt after car ploughs over roundabout

Firefighters were called to a road traffic incident in which a car came off the A2 and over a roundabout.

The road traffic incident took place at 1.58am yesterday in Bean Lane, Bean.

The driver is believed to have been travelling along the A2 coastbound when the vehicle came off the sliproad for Bluewater, but went over the roundabout before stopping in the village lane.

The man was unhurt, and already out of the car when emergency crews arrived, but was taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution.

Firefighters from Dartford fire brigade attended and made the scene safe.
