Five-car collision leaves two lanes blocked on the M25 anticlockwise between Swanley and Darenth

A crash involving five vehicles on the M25 caused major delays this morning.

The pile-up involving three vans and two cars took place at about 8.30am between junction three of the M20 at the Swanley Interchange and junction two of the A2 at the Darenth Interchange.

At one point, queues stretched back for four miles while emergency services dealt with the incident.

It is not known if anyone was injured.

Lanes one and two of four were blocked for an hour and a half, towards the Dartford Crossing, but were cleared by 10am.
