A person had to be cut free from their vehicle after a crash on the M25.

Firefighters were called to the A282 truck road on the Dartford Crossing approach shortly after 7pm last night.

After stabilising the vehicle crews worked with paramedics to create space and treat the casualty by removing the vehicle’s roof.

They used hydraulic rescue equipment to carry out the task.

The casualty was then transferred to a waiting ambulance shortly before 8pm.
