Raw meat and bones have been found dumped in a Dartford park, sparking concerns for dog walkers.
The gruesome carcasses were discovered at the Enchanted Woodland in Temple Hill by Anita Sillick who reported it to community support officers, Dartford council and woodland rangers.
The area is a popular spot for walkers, cyclists, photographers and families for picnics. It also hosts a forest school for children aged five to 11.
Ms Sillick issued a warning to dog walkers on her Facebook and Twitter page after coming across the strange sighting.
She wrote: “If you use the Enchanted Woodland to walk your dog please be warned that someone id dumping RAW meat & RAW bones down there.
“I have reported it to the Woodland Rangers & the local PCSOs.”
But Debbie Fryer from the Temple Hill Trust, which maintains the woodland, confirmed the complaint had been made to rangers.
She said: “There was a discovery of meat, bones and carcasses which I’m assuming have been left out for the foxes.
“It doesn’t look nice and if I saw somebody doing it then I would ask them to desist but in terms of anti-social behaviour this is one of the mildest cases.
“Dog walkers don’t appreciate it for obvious reasons.
“We just cleared it away, I don’t know if the police would like to follow it up.”
It is not known whether Dartford council's environmental health officers are aware.
