Rhyme is reason for Lola, of Montgomery Road, Dartford, stardom

Little Lola has become an internet sensation after her failure to get the words to a nursery rhyme right proved a hit.

Lola Webb was filmed by her dad Dean, 32, who runs Dean's Gentlemen's Barbers in St Vincent's Road, Dartford, singing the call-and-response rhyme One Day We Went To The Zoo.

The Horton Kirby Primary School pupil is meant to respond with "to the zoo" but goes through several alternatives in the 95-second clip.

It was sent in to ITV2 show Viral Tap and guest Jameela Jamil, presenter of the BBC Radio 1 Chart Show, loved it so much, she awarded it £1,000.

Last week it was uploaded to the show’s YouTube channel and in just over a week racked up more than half-a-million hits.

Lola’s mum Jade, 30, of Montgomery Road, Dartford, said: "We just can’t believe that it’s gone viral.

"They contacted us last week to say they were putting it online and within a day it had over 100,000 views.

"Lola loves to sing and dance and goes to stage school, and she’s just so excited by the whole thing."
