Second man charged following death of teenager Denzel Njemo in Dartford

A second man has appeared in court after a teenager was fatally stabbed.

Denzel Njemo, 18, was found dead after police were called to Suffolk Road, in Dartford, at around 9pm on Friday, April 14.

The next day, 19-year-old Chris Enaruba was arrested on suspicion of murder and charged the following evening.

Mr Enaruba, of Beaconsfield Road, Greater London, appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court where he was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday, May 25.

Police officers have since charged Abdul Yusuff with assisting a suspect with intent to impede his apprehension or prosecution, on Thursday (May 11).

The 19-year-old, of Rotherhithe New Road, Southwark, appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday (May 12) where he was also remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, June 9.

An inquest opening was held last month and the court heard Denzel Njemo was found dead in a town centre alleyway.

His cause of death was given as a haemorrhage and stab wound to the chest.
