Dartford boss Tony Burman says the reason for the club’s successful start is that everyone is learning from mistakes made last season.

A year ago Darts had taken 10 points out of a possible 27 but at the same stage, they now sit joint top with pre-season favourites Woking and Burman says statistics don’t lie.

"We are there because we are the second best side in the league at the moment and the difference between this season and last is consistency."

"We have put things right on and off the field, last season was a learning curve for us, on and off the field, and the boys know what we expect now.

"Three quality players have been brought in and have proved good and we have a dressing room full of players who are together and when that happens, it wins you a lot of points."

"We are still a young side, our average age is only 23/24 and I think we lost quite a few games last season, due to a lack of concentration.

"They are now young players with experienced heads on their shoulders and have grown up a lot."
