Gas repairs to close Shellbank Lane between Bean and Green Street Green until Christmas

A popular cut-through is to be closed until Christmas due to gas works.

Part of Shellbank Lane, in Bean, in Dartford will be closed from October 9 until December 22 for work to be undertaken by SGN to upgrade the gas network.

The road, which acts as a cut-through between Bean and Darenth will be closed between the junctions of B255 Ashwood Place and B260 Green Street Green Road.

The alternative route for any through traffic will be via B255 Ashwood Place, B255 High Street, B255 Southfleet Road, B262 Sandbanks Hill and B260 Green Street Green Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
