FORMER darts world champion Andy Fordham is recovering at home after suffering a minor stroke.

Earlier this year Fordham was forced to pull out of the Lakeside World Championship after suffering with breathing difficulties.

His manager Dave Richards said: "He had a little stroke but is fine. He’s recovering and we think he’ll come back fitter than ever."

The Dartford publican was taken to hospital but was released after an overnight stay.

Mr Richards added: "It affected his leg and speech but that has come back and his speech is fine."

Fordham lost four stone in weight after appearing on television programme Celebrity Fit Club in 2005.
