DARTFORD have tied up a temporary deal to play home matches at Thurrock's Ship Lane ground until Princes Park is ready.

Their homecoming may have been delayed but manager Tony Burman doesn't think fans will mind a further month of travelling before heading back to the town on September 23.

He said: "The supporters will understand. We’ve been away for around 14 years and another month isn’t going to worry them.

"It was either share a ground or play all our games away and we needed to have some income coming in to cover our costs."
