Dartford FC boss Tony Burman not ruling out a move for transfer-listed Dover Athletic defender Tom Wynter

A move for transfer-listed defender Tom Wynter hasn’t been ruled out by Dartford manager Tony Burman.

Left-back Wynter finds himself on the transfer list after making just three substitute appearances for National League side Dover this season.

The 25-year-old is well known to Burman and several of his current squad, including former Gillingham team-mate Andy Pugh.

Dartford are light in the left-back department. Danny Fitzsimons could be out for most of the season with a serious knee injury while Luton loanee Mark Onyemah is in the second month of his spell and could be recalled at any time.

Burman said: "Tom is a good player and I realise he has been put on the transfer list but I haven’t spoken to him.

"He is at Dover at the moment and we will see how things go."

Mid-table Dartford suffered a 2-1 defeat to Oxford City on Tuesday and only beat Weston-super-Mare at the weekend with a late winner.

Burman isn’t ready to make changes to his squad, however.

He said: "I am not into having a knee-jerk reaction. We will work with this squad and sometimes you have to expect things don’t quite go for us.

"We didn’t play too well on Saturday but we knew it would be a frustrating afternoon. We came away with all three points. We have played a lot better and come away with no points.

"We have to accept that is part and parcel of football."
