The families of residents in a Deal care home are being told it is business as usual despite it going into administration.

Fassaroe House, an alzheimer and dementia home in Warwick Road, Walmer, entered into administration on July 14.

Joint administrators Chris Stevens and Ian Vickers, Partners at FRP Advisory LLP, are conducting a financial review of the operating company.

Annie Wilson, spokeswoman for the receivers, said: "The care home, which is home to 28 residents and has a staff of 25, was placed into administration following financial difficulties incurred by the operating company.

"It continues to operate as normal, and there are presently no plans for it to close or for redundancies to be made.

"It is hoped that arrangements will be reached to enable the care home to continue into the future."

Commenting on the case, Chris Stevens said: "Trading is ongoing and the residents continue to receive the same high level of care and attention as usual.

"We are reviewing the financial situation of the business and have every hope to find a purchaser as a going concern to safeguard the future of the care home."
