Deal 1sts finished strongly to draw 1-1 with Marden Russets 2nds in Kent Open Premier A on Saturday.

The visitors broke the deadlock when a ball into the crowded Deal goal area deflected off a Marden stick and into the net.

Deal’s reply came when James Foot capitalised on sloppy work by the Marden defence.

Deal visit Blackheath 3rds this week.

Deal 2nds won 2-1 at Gillingham Anchorians with first-half goals from Tupper and Dyer.

Deal ladies were without a game in Kent League Division 2 at the weekend but travel to Sutton Valence on Saturday.
