Dover Athletic players will get the chance to prove their worth, says Nicky Forster

Nicky Forster accepted he may have to cut his squad but vowed players would get a chance to show their worth.

Forster said the core of the squad was good and there was a lot of quality in it.

"There’s a lot of quality and we will give everyone an opportunity to show that quality over the next couple of games," said Forster.

"It is fair to say the squad is too big and we might try to bring the numbers down a bit. For a league game you can only name 16, so we’ll have five players training during the week with no focus at the weekend."

One player set to stay is Olly Schulz (pictured).

Forster said: "Everyone has a clean slate. We asked him if he wanted to come off the transfer list and told him we’d like him to and he said he did."
