Dover boss Nicky Forster is continuing to whittle down his squad.

Goalkeeper Ross Kitteridge, defender Nathan Ashton and midfielders Sam Cutler and Luke l’Anson have been released from their contracts by mutual consent over the past fortnight.

Forster (pictured) said: "We had 23 players, which was just too many. You can only have 16 involved in any one game and so that means you have seven players sitting in the stands, which isn’t healthy, especially when you haven’t got a reserve team."

One player back in fold is midfielder Michael Corcoran, who Forster has taken off the transfer list.

Forster added: "Corcs has been a credit to himself with his attitude and his application while he’s been out of the team."
