Serial shoplifter Nathan Ling from Deal sentenced to 150 days in prison

A serial shoplifter who stole a selection of items from stores in Deal, Dover and Folkestone has been jailed for five months.

Nathan Ling, 28, of Cowdray Square in Deal, pleaded guilty to five counts of shoplifting throughout February and March.

On Sunday, February 21 Ling stole washing gels worth £50 from the BP garage in London Road, Deal.

On Sunday, February 28 he stole groceries worth £70.88 from the same garage.

The next day, Monday February, 29, he stole £40 worth of alcohol from the Cooperative in Park Street, Deal.

On Tuesday, March 2 he stole more alcohol worth £39.98 from the Cooperative in Castle Street, Dover.

On Wednesday, March 23 he stole five bottles of vodka worth £60 from a supermarket in Cheriton Road, Folkestone.

On Thursday, March 24, Medway Magistrates sentenced him to 150 days in prison.

He also has to pay £259 in compensation and an £80 victim surcharge.
