Laptop theft from Community Church Deal, tracking system leads police to South Street

A laptop believed to have been stolen from a church was recovered and a man taken into custody.

Police used a tracking system to look for the computer.

The theft happened overnight last night at Community Church Deal in Victoria Road.

Officers from the Local Policing Team used tracking software and were led to a property in the town's South Street at around 11am today.

A laptop was seized and a 31-year-old man from Deal was arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft.

He remains in police custody today while enquiries continue.
