Police want victims to come forward after thefts in Whitfield, River and Temple Ewell, Dover district

Police investigating a series of thefts in Whitfield, River and Temple Ewell want other victims to come forward.

A 21-year-old man was arrested following a number of reports of a man attempting to open car doors and acting suspiciously in the area.

This happened at London Road, between Dover and Temple Ewell, at 10.30pm on Monday, May 27.

Officers also seized three pairs of sunglasses, a bottle of perfume and various other items that are believed to have been stolen.

The suspect was taken into custody but later released pending further enquiries.
