Celebrity chef Marco Pierre White has announced he will open a brand new restaurant and fish and chip shop in Dover.
The two venues which will both be situated within the Best Western Plus Dover Marina Hotel & Spa, on the sea front, will open this summer.
Dubbed “affordable glamour” by the TV chef, the 85-cover restaurant called Mr White’s English Chophouse Dover will offer a high-quality dining experience that is also comfortable and entertaining.
The menu will feature a range of high quality meat cuts and traditional home-grown classics.
It will be the third of its kind to open in the UK this year, closely after London and Manchester which opened in April and May respectively.
Mr White said: "What's appealing about the Chophouse is its simplicity.
“The menu is very simple and the whole idea is to be generous with the portions.
“It's hard to beat classic British food and that is exactly what the Chophouse centres on alongside a fine collection of wines, cocktails and beer.”
Wheeler's Fish & Chips will showcase Mr White’s take on the nation's favourite seaside dish - fish and chips.
The relaxed venue will not not require bookings and diners can choose between a take-away or sit-down service.
The menu will feature dishes like moules mariniere, salt cod croquettes and smoked sardines on toast.
Mr White said: "As for Wheeler's Fish & Chips, I am working closely with Garry Rosser the owner of the award-winning Scallop Shell fish and chips shop in Bath to ensure we source the best quality fish available to deliver a very affordably priced menu."

Mr K Rajaseelan, managing director at the Best Western Plus Dover Marina Hotel & Spa, said: "Our hotel has recently been refurbished throughout and the next part of our investment focuses on our food and beverage offer.
“Introducing Marco Pierre White's concepts truly elevates what we do and we're delighted to be bringing both Chophouse and Wheeler's Fish and Chips Shop to the south coast."
Black and White Hospitality have secured the branded food and beverage deal for the hotel.
Chief executive Nick Taplin said: "Mr White's English Chophouse and Wheeler's Fish & Chips brings the best of land and sea to the area.
“We have already had great success with our Chophouse concept and we know how popular it is with diners.
“We have been working on the Wheeler's fish and chips concept for quite some time now and we've found the perfect location on the seafront of Dover.
“We're confident both venues will become the place to go for local foodies and tourists alike."
It was announced in May that Kent's first Marco Pierre White Steakhouse will open at the Best Western Clifton Hotel on the Leas in Folkestone next month.
