Police make Halloween appeal

Police are appealing for information about youths who threw eggs and pumpkins at homes in the River and Bushy Ruff areas on Friday night.

The incidents were among those attended by officers during what they otherwise described as “a quiet and fairly peaceful” Halloween.

Anyone with information about these youths is asked to call the Dover neighbourhood team on 01304 218110 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Sgt Guy Thompson said: “Our neighbourhood teams, together with Kent County Council Community Wardens, carried out high visibility patrols which proved to be an effective deterrent.”
