Changes expected as Hess era dawns

NEW Dover Athletic manager Andy Hessenthaler is expected to make big changes to the playing staff at Crabble.

The 41-year-old former Gillingham boss has been charged with progressing the club up the divisions by chairman Jim Parmenter, who described his appointment as "a coup".

Hessenthaler said: "The infrastructure is here - this club should be back in the Conference."

Now the manager is in place announcements are expected soon over out-of-contract players.

Hessenthaler added: "I do know a number of players at the club. Some are under contract and others are waiting in the wings to see who the manager's going to be."
