DOVER Rugby Club are already preparing to make their debut in London League 2 South East next season.

The Crabble club hold their annual meeting on Thursday, July 10 at 7pm, and club chairman Richard Catt said: “Pre-season training is well under way and there is a wonderful opportunity for players to come and see first hand what the club is trying to achieve and how it operates.

“The average age of our 1st XV is now 23 and the camaraderie on and off the field is excellent.

“We welcome all new players, whether at mini, youth or adult level, to our friendly lub. With our commitment to player development through the club, this can give the misconception that we are a ‘closed shop, which is not the case.

“We are currently looking to recruit senior players who have the right aptitude and playing ability, and would welcome the challenge to aspire to playing in LL2SE.

“With our 2nd XV having moved up to the Invicta League, and our 3rd and 4th XVs EAST Kent League, the club continues to make great progress.”

Anyone interested in playing for the Sharks next season should contact head coach Graham Tonks on 07834 049688.
