Dover's seasonal gesture of admitting fans for free at Tuesday's Ryman League Premier Division against Tooting and Mitcham paid a handsome dividend with 2,760 taking advantage of the club's generosity.

The gate was bigger than three ties in the Football League's Johnstone's Paint Trophy on the same night.

The fans were not disappointed as the Whites strengthened their grip on the championship title with an emphatic 3-0 win thanks to goals from Sammy Moore (2) and Guiliano Grazioli.

The win moved the club 16 points clear at the top and in sight of Blue Square South football next season.
