Dover v Hastings

Andy Hessenthaler is refusing to admit a 25-point lead means Dover have already won the Ryman League Premier Division with four months of the season still left.

The leaders will be looking to make it nine successive wins when they entertain Hastings on Saturday but Hessenthaler said: “Being so far ahead at this stage of the season is a new experience for me, as a player and manager but it shows what have achieved already.

“I’m greedy, though, and want to see us go 30 points clear. We have to be relentless and maintain a winning mentality.”

Striker Sean Welford looks set to recover from blurred vision after being taken off against Ashford (Middlesex) last week but fellow forward Giuliano Grazioli is nursing a calf problem. Defender Dean Hill is available after completing a three-match ban.
