Trophy-hunting Dover eye third Conference scalp

PLEASED: Clive Walker

DOVER Athletic's cup odyssey continues on Saturday when they meet Forest Green Rovers in the last 16 of the FA Trophy at Crabble.

After enduring a miserable time in cup games last season, Whites have gone from famine to feast, having also reached the FA Cup first round before Christmas.

A key factor in their cup success has been the spirit and will to win which manager Clive Walker has instilled in his side. Walker said: "I have been really pleased with the spirit in the team and it's been carrying us through matches. We have just got to try and keep it going."

Dover will be bidding to claim a third Conference scalp against Forest Green, having already disposed of Gravesend and Conference in the Trophy, but Colin Addison's side have been enjoying some good results in recent weeks with wins over Chester and Burton Albion.

The good news for Walker is that he could have a full-strength squad to pick from. Mark Patterson (knee) and Nicky Dent (ankle), are both hoping to be fit.
