Narabeen Road in Folkestone closed after young girl hit by van

A young girl has been rushed to hospital after she was hit by a van in Folkestone.

The accident happened at 3.40pm in Narabeen Road.

The youngster suffered head injuries in the crash and the air ambulance was called.

The helicopter landed at Pent Valley Technology College just before 4pm, but the girl was taken to a local hospital by road.

The girl is said to be stable, and her condition is being assessed.

Police closed the road and officers spoke to witnesses.
