The 79-year-old says the incident happened over the course of 26 minutes on Monday.

Having looked at CCTV, Mrs Stovell believes one suspect targeted her car three times between 8.20pm and 8.50pm.

She said: "I was informed by an observant neighbour just before 9pm he had heard some loud bangs and saw a male running from my vehicle up the road from a crouched position.

"He has slashed all four tyres. Why this should happen to me in particular is a mystery.

"I have lived in my house for more than 39 years and for the first time feel unsafe.
