Folkestone Invicta 0 Staines Town 3

FOLKESTONE Invicta's final home match of the season ended in a disappointing 3-0 defeat against Staines Town on Saturday.

The visitors took the lead after 32 minutes when captain Matt Flitter headed home an André Lisser free kick.

Earlier, Invicta were unlucky not to go in front when James Dryden's superb shot cannoned back off the post.

Staines doubled their lead two minutes into the second half when Tariq Nabil latched onto a good through ball by Richard Dell and finished well.

Clement James rattled Folkestone's cross bar with a spectacular effort on 55 minutes, but Nabil put the game beyond any doubt after 66 minutes with another good finish - this time a curled shot from the edge of the box.

After the match, Dryden capped a season when he broke Invicta's goalscoring record by being voted Supporters' Player of the Year for the third time in four years.

John Guest came second, then Adam Flanaghan and Tony Kessell.
