Errors proved costly as Gravesend lost 34-32 at home to Old Elthamians in National 3 South East.

Anthony Nolan's try, converted by Chris Meddlings, helped the hosts into an early 10-5 lead but Elthamians stormed back to hold a 17-10 advantage at the interval.

The visitors made a bright start to the second half and found themselves 34-10 ahead after 56 minutes.

The return of Jamie Forsyth (pictured) after treatment on a thigh injury and the sin-binning of Elthamians' Hugh Hawkins signalled a revival.

Gary Gray jinked through to cut the gap, Scott Curley finished a forward drive and Forsyth forced his way over but Gravesend wound up just short.
