Man in court following knife-point robbery

A 30-year-old man has appeared in court charged with five offences in connection with a knife-point robbery in the town centre.

Harnake Bahia, of Darnley Street, Gravesend appeared at Medway Magistrates Court on Saturday.

He is charged with robbery, attempted robbery, affray, possession of an offensive weapon and a public order offence. Police say the incidents took place in two locations in Gravesend town centre.

Bahia was remanded in custody and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, April 8.
