TWO people were arrested and a haul of drugs with an estimated street value of around £10,000 seized by police following early morning raids.

The occupants of two neighbouring houses in Poplar Avenue, on Gravesend's Kings Farm estate, got a rude awakening as officers forced open their front doors at 7.30am on Thursday.

With the help of sniffer dogs, officers searched both premises and discovered cannabis resin, cocaine and amphetamine, all of which was seized.

Also seized were three cars – a Jaguar, an Audi and a Mercedes – and £15,000 of DJ-ing equipment.

The man and woman arrested are in custody at Gravesend police station and are being questioned on suspicion of pessession with intent to supply drugs and money laundering.
