Gravesend celebrated the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton with a host of street parties and civic events.

Hundreds of people from across Gravesham took coaches and trains up to the capital to watch the special day at first hand.

Meanwhile, shops and pubs displayed Union Flags and bunting around towns and villages while neighbours celebrated with official street parties and plenty of impromptu patriotic fun elsewhere.
