Shop owner under fire for alleged underage alcohol sales

A SHOP owner could lose his licence following an alleged sale of alcohol to an underaged person.

Saray Karakus, of Bob’s Stores, Lower Higham Road, Gravesend will appear before Gravesham Borough Council's licensing panel in June after a test purchase by Kent County Council trading standards office. The test purchase was made after a complaint by a member of the public.

The panel will review the evidence and could decide to either revoke the licence, suspend the licence for up to three months, ban the shop owner from selling alcohol, or change the licence conditions
